A new book has been published featuring a host of statistics, results and reports from the early days of the Cheshire Senior Cup.
The book is 220 pages long and covers the period from 1880-1915. Author Keith Clayton says that the book is the first in a number of volumes he is planning to produce
"The book contains all the results and match reports/scorers/attendances that were available in the local newspapers of the time. There are match reports on all finals and semi-finals with team line ups, and all rounds of the competition and all Cheshire teams of the era are covered.
"Once the printing costs are covered, all the profits will go to the Cheshire FA. Volume two should be ready for the beginning of next season - it is on the computer and just needs tidying up".
