In an attempt to play their first home fixture since October 31st, Bacup Borough have moved their midweek game against Maine Road back 24 hours from their normal midweek night of Wednesday.
The game will now take place - weather permitting - on Thursday 4th March with a 7.45pm kick off at the Brian Boys West View Stadium.
Bacup boss Brent Peters explained: "The current weather is heavy snow showers, with little improvement forecast until Tuesday and then supposedly the weather by the day improves. By putting this fixture forward by twenty four hours will give us a better chance of playing the game.
"The move was agreed with both clubs, and then sanctioned by the League Management Committee.
"Obviously it is impossible to guarantee at this stage whether the game will be played as we are not able to control the weather, but based on the forecast for our region this move was the most sensible to give us a better realistic chance".
