Glossop North End Drawn Against Staveley Miners Welfare In FA Vase 2nd Round

Following Glossop North End's 7-0 victory against Kinsley Boys FC at the weekend, we have been drawn against Staveley Miners Welfare in the 2nd Round of the FA Vase.

Staveley Miners Welfare are are currently playing in the Northern East Counties League Premier Division and progressed through to the second round after a 2-0 victory against West Didsbury & Chorlton at the weekend.

The fixture will be played on Saturday 16th November.

In the 2011/12 season Staveley MW reached the the semi final of the FA Vase where they were knocked out by Dunston. The two clubs have met previously in this competition back in 2005 when Glossop won 3-2 (Goals from Gary Kharas x2 and Sam Hind).  The most recent meeting was back in 2007 in the Derbyshire Cup with Glossop the same scoreline; goals from Gorton x2 and Rick Bailey.

Other NWCFL teams have also made it into the 2nd round, including Runcorn Town who visit our old friends at Hillshead Park
