The Hillmen have been handed a home tie in the 3rd Round of the Derbyshire Senior Cup, with the Spirites of Chesterfield FC drawn to travel to Surrey Street.
The tie, likely to take place on Tuesday 8 December, will be a repeat of the 4th round tie from 2014-15, when Glossop North EndΒ ran out 3-1 winners thanks to a goal from Jason Carey and two from Lee Blackshaw.
Chesterfield had been keen to field a first team side in that match, but after re-arrangement and postponements saw them scheduled to play both Glossop and Preston North End on the same night it was a less experienced team that travelled over the Peaks. Fans should keep an eye on the fixture list at Chesterfield for clues as to the average age of side that may travel this time.
