First Team manager Chris Willcock introduces three new additions to his squad…
Andrew Kilheeney
Excellent acquisition. His qualities are: calm and composed on the ball; ball retention very good and will receive the ball under pressure any where on the pitch. He is also an intelligent footballer whose use of the football in possession to create opportunities for others is also very good. I have been tracking Andrew for the last two seasons during which there has been a lot of interest in the young man with many clubs trying to secure his services over the last 18 months and we are very pleased that he has chosen to join us. Myself, staff and the players are delighted with the quality of this signing and wish him every success at Glossop North End.
Paul Cliff
A recent arrival from Wigan Robin Park. Paul caught my eye in our recent fixture at Surrey Street. His pace, strength and work ethic was excellent on the day and I had no hesitation after the game in putting 7 days notice in for the player. He had an excellent debut on Saturday against Nostell where he received man of the match to cap a good debut for the club. Myself, my staff and everybody associated with the club would like to wish Paul success with us.
Jamie Kay
Recent signing from Stockport Sports. He is well known to the Glossop faithful as part of the FA vase team in 2009 that went to Wembley – the ovation on his debut when he came off the bench on Saturday from everybody in the ground showed to me that he is still very popular. He will add competition to the left back position and also the left hand side of midfield and showed his qualities on Saturday with the delivery of the 3rd goal for Tom Bailey and we wish Jamie every success.
I would also like to thank the three players that have left the club: Jamie Turner – moved on to Formby, Ryan Gorst & Dominic Bromilow for their committment to Glossop North End and I’d like to wish them all the best for the future.
