Right full-back Alex Byrne has become Glossop North End manager Chris Willcock’s latest signing. The 20-year-old was a junior at Bury before spells with Mossley and at Abbey Hey last season where he was an integral part of the team that won promotion to the NWCFL Premier Division.
Willcock commented: “Alex is an exciting young prospect who is very ambitious. He is technically a very good footballer as well as having great energy, aggression and a wonderful appetite for the game. As the season develops he will undoubtedly become a firm favourite with the Glossop North End fans.”
